Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DigitalKeysBox ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of digitalkeysbox.com, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, place an order, or contact our support team. Please read it carefully.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you place an order or contact support, we collect:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your billing details as provided to our payment processor
  • The contents of any message you send us

Payment information

All payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including PayPal. We do not collect, see, or store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials on our servers. Payment transactions are handled directly by the payment provider under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only a transaction confirmation and the billing name and email associated with the order.

Order information

We keep a record of what you purchased, when, the product keys issued to your order, and any support correspondence relating to it. We need this record to reissue a key if yours stops working, to process refunds, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, we and our service providers may collect:

  • Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Pages viewed, time and date of your visit, and time spent on each page
  • The website or advertisement that referred you to us

How We Use Your Information

  • To process your order and deliver your product key and download instructions
  • To provide customer support, replacements and refunds
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent orders and abuse of our service
  • To send offers, product updates and other marketing emails to customers who have purchased from us, which you can stop at any time
  • To measure how our website and advertising perform, and to improve both
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. We also use related technologies such as pixels, tags and scripts. We use them for the following purposes:

Essential cookies

Required to run the site, keep your cart contents, and complete checkout. The site does not work without them.

Preference cookies

Remember your settings so you do not have to enter them again.

Analytics cookies

Tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they leave.

Advertising cookies

Measure whether an advertisement led to a purchase, and may be used to show you our ads on other websites.

Affiliate cookies

Record that a partner website referred you to us, so that the partner is credited correctly.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when one is being set. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site, including checkout, will not function.

Service Providers We Work With

We use third-party companies to run parts of our service. They receive only the information they need to perform their function, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. The main ones are:

  • PayPal and other payment processors, to take payment and handle disputes and refunds.
  • Google Analytics, to measure website traffic. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads, to measure the results of our advertising and, in some cases, to show our ads to you on other websites. You can control how Google personalizes ads for you at myadcenter.google.com. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Impact, our affiliate network, to attribute referrals from partner websites and deal platforms.
  • Brevo, to send order confirmations, product keys and support replies.
  • Elastic Email, to send marketing emails to customers who have purchased from us.
  • Our web hosting and helpdesk providers, who store the site and our support tickets.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our customer list.

Email and the CAN-SPAM Act

We send two kinds of email. Order emails, which include your receipt, your product key and support replies, are part of the service you purchased and are sent to every customer. Marketing emails, which include offers and product news, are sent only to people who have bought from us or asked to hear from us.

In line with the CAN-SPAM Act, we commit to the following:

  • We do not use false or misleading sender addresses or subject lines
  • We include our physical mailing address in every marketing email
  • We include a working unsubscribe link in every marketing email
  • We action unsubscribe requests promptly, and in all cases within ten business days
  • We monitor the email providers we use for compliance

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing message, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop order and support emails, since we need those to deliver what you bought.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep order records, including the product keys issued to you, for as long as needed to support the purchase and to satisfy our tax and accounting obligations. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics service we use.

Your Choices and Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Delete your information, except records we are required to keep, such as transaction history
  • Stop sending you marketing email

Email support@digitalkeysbox.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for making a request and we will not treat you differently for making one.

California Residents

If you live in California, you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources it came from, the purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. You may also request deletion, subject to the record-keeping exceptions above.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising cookies that may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, email us at support@digitalkeysbox.com with the subject line "Do Not Share My Personal Information", or set the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Our website, order records and support systems are hosted on servers operated by our hosting and software providers. Some of these providers operate infrastructure in more than one country, which means your information may be stored or processed outside the country where you live, in a place whose data protection laws may differ from your own. By using the site and submitting your information, you agree to this. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled securely wherever it is held.

Security

We protect your information using encrypted connections, access controls and server hardening. No method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email and by a notice on this website without undue delay, and within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Websites

Our site links to websites we do not operate, including Microsoft download pages and our payment provider. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will also tell you by email or by a notice on the site before it takes effect.
